Meet a PanAir Female Survey Pilot - International Women's Day 2017
International Women's Day marks a call to action to celebrate and recognise women across the globe who are shaping the progress to be the change that they want to see in the world.
Meet Tammy Augostin, one of our PanAir survey pilot's, who has managed to break the barriers of two male dominated industries, the aviation industry and the surveyor industry.
The International Society of Women Airline Pilots (IPA) estimates that women pilots account for over 3% of pilots world wide. Likewise, women in surveying operations account for 13% of Global Chartered Surveyors, according to RICS statistics on Women in Surveying.
PanAir has always been a proud supporter for women undertaking roles within the aviation industry and regularly supports events through Women in Aviation Australia (WAI), Women in Aviation Week (iWOAW) and Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) and collaborates with like minded organisations to encourage women into the industry.
